Masada & the Dead Sea

Petra, Jordan

Don't miss out on Jordan's crown jewel and one the New Seven Wonders! After an early morning flight to Eilat in southern Israel (45 min), we will cross the border into Jordan and drive to Petra. On arrival, you will enjoy an authentic Jordanian lunch, before entering the Archeological Park. The Nabatean capital is carved into the rock and situated in the far end of Wadi Musa. The road leading there meanders through the narrow, deep, winding, and breathtaking Siq (the shaft) at the endof which the striking splendor of the burial shrine Al Khazneh (the Treasury) is revealed. We will stop to take pictures and then arrive at our ultimate destination, the ancient and picturesque city of Petra. We will visit the Theater, the Street of Facades, the Winged Lions Temple which is still under excavation, the Royal Tombs and the Colonnaded Street. After this mesmerizing experience, we will drive back to Arava Border, cross back into Israel and take a short flight back to Tel Aviv.

How big is Tel Aviv Pride? How is it different from other Pride parades? What should I know about booking my Tel Aviv Pride trip?

Approximately 250,000 people attend Pride in Tel Aviv. Around 30,000 are tourists and the rest local Israeli LGBTQ and people from all walks of life. Tel Aviv Pride is attended by people from all over the country. It is the biggest party of the year and not one to be missed.

How is Tel Aviv Pride Different?
The Parade is in fact a march where hundreds of thousands of people march together along the streets of Tel Aviv. LGBTQ organizations march along with bystanders. This is different from the gay pride parades held in America and in other countries. In America, for example, spectators stand on the side of the streets and watch as floats representing the different organizations and communities roll by.
Tel Aviv Pride is not a spectator sport. Everyone comes together to march and to dance. There are some floats that represent the various Pride parties hosted throughout Pride weekend, but they are not the main event. Each float is a calling card for the after-parties and provides a sampling of the music one can expect at a particular party.

The main event, the parade, takes place Friday and begins at noon. The parade ends with a massive beach party that continues until around 4 in the afternoon. The main parties surrounding the parade take place the night before and the night after. The biggest bashed happen Thursday night before the parade and the night after the parade.
